Dr. Benjamin Coulam, DNP

Saw Ben one time. He repeatedly said he was sorry for aging issues I live with. He prescribed a pain medication that Medicare doesn't pay for that cost too much. Did not look at all of the years of notes in the system regarding my health from other providers. Did not seem interested. Did not respond to important message sent in patient portal about issues affecting my ability to do things and having no help as the reason I hadn't booked the physical therapy appointment that his office was pressuring me to do yet. Instead of replying to my message or showing any understanding, he completely cancelled the physical therapy referral, that was originally good for one year. I got a letter in My Chart that said my referral had expired. I called the physical therapy department at Salem Health to ask why it had expired so soon. They told me it had not expired and that Ben Coulam had cancelled the referral on 11/9/22 This is not health care. Nobody cares there. I'm afraid to go back!
