Unpleasant and unskilled
Franklin lacks basic skills in building trust with clients. He demonstrates poor listening skills, does not validate the feelings or concerns of clients, and fails to express authentic empathy. Prefers to steer the sessions towards his own topics of interest rather than meet people where they are. Regularly places blame on patients rather than try to understand their circumstances. Treats the work as if it’s a meaningless exercise of working out ‘knots’ in the psyche - as opposed to seeking meaningful connection with his patients. Is deeply inconsiderate of his patients’ feelings. Openly hostile towards people and ideas that don’t conform to his worldview.
