1.Needs to learn lung anatomy/physiology and how to read radiology images correctly 2.Reads breathing tests but not to the level of being able to diagnose the cause. 3.Her coworkers Doctors do understand medicine. A nurse practitioner should be able to do this as well. She needs more clinical supervision. Office staff indicated to me they don’t think she is good. 4. UNM nursing school puts out excellent nurse practitioners, so I am guessing she was a person that somehow slipped through. I wanted her because I am a Native New Mexican and thought she would be nice like so many New Mexico people are. I was wrong, but good people work there.

My adult daughter had a bad visit with Bernadette. Previous to that Bern was praying from my daughter and being super sweet. She actually seemed like she cared. I thought we had found a truly religious person. She screamed at my daughter right in front of me. Went into an angry rage. Then she lashed out and said she that she was sorry she put my daughter on oxygen. I had to explain to my daughter that all people are human and imperfect. This experience scared us both. I have never seen a nurse do this ever. We have a large family and we have never seen a nurse do this. This explains why when we told the office how nice she was that they looked at us weirdly. Humans are just humans and sin.. we cannot expect a human to be like Jesus. I get what other reviewers said and I believe them! We experienced it firsthand. Hopefully she gets a healthier perspective sooner rather than later for the sake of other patients. We had not seen any signs of this before after many visits.

I am, was, a patient of Dr. James Bradley for many years. Not only did he treat my asthma, but also my sleep apnea. He used to call me his problem child, as my asthma was, and still is, a bit hard to control. In any case, I also saw Bernadette periodically during my time as a Dr. Bradley's patient. She was always helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I would be wary of the negative posts here, especially those that include no name. They appear to be vindictive and purposely intended to hurt her reputation. In my experience, they appear completely out of character for her.

I would highly recommend Bernadette Perea .My son has been seeing her on and off along with his pulmonologist and we find her to be full of knowledge, well read on many medical facts and cures. She is always friendly and concerned about all you have to say and listens to your problem and seems to now more than one way to help you get better as she is very qualified and competent in various fields of medicine. You will LOVE her! On a scale of one to ten, I give her a 20 !

Jesus would weep about her behavior at work. This woman gets angry and explodes very unstable. Does not understand lung conditions. Can’t understand the test results she ordered. She also lies.
