Bethany Ransom, NP

Went at the beginning of 2022 and saw Bethany Ransom. Went again at the beginning of 2023. I showed her something that had developed on my lower back, she said it was a dry patch and to use my Clobetasol Foam that I had for my Eczema. I used it and at times it looked better, not as red but it never went away. It almost started to look like ringworm so I started to use anti fungal medicine. It did not itch or spread and I did not worry since she said it was just a dry patch. I had an appointment early 2024 however Bethany was no longer seeing patients. I decided to change dermatologist. I just went 2 weeks ago, showed the new doctor. She did a Biopsy and it just came back as Squamous cell carcinoma. I could not believe it. Skin cancer that could have been removed almost a year and a half ago. I just thought it was some fungus, dry patch of skin and no big deal, based on Bethany Ransom not even taking a biopsy of it. Now I am waiting to get scheduled for surgery.

I was taken to exam room a few minutes BEFORE my appointment time. Bethany Ransome, the NP, was very thorough (this was an annual screening). She removed a couple of things, explained what she was doing and why. I was in and out and back at work in an hour.

I was called back at the time of my appointment. I had not even finished filling out my paperwork. The nurse and Bethany were both very professional and thorough. I would highly recommend.

A patient would be charged for missing appointments, are doctors supposed to cancel appointments on the day of my scheduled procedure? Yes, Bethany Ransom did that without apologizing and pushed my procedure to two weeks later. This is very irresponsible and unprofessional, and it only tells how arrogant and careless she is to her patients.

Dr. Ransom is awesome. She quickly addressed all my concerns, she was also very personable and professional. She very confidently planned and executed my treatment. I will never use another dermatologist as long as she is in practice in my area. Make an appointment with her, you will not regret it. Thank you Dr. Ransom!
