My wife started seeing Dr. Shamis as a result of our marital issues. After two sessions he told my wife that she should not go to marital counseling with me because she needed to work on herself first. Needless to say, we are now separating because we never got the support to we needed to save our marriage. If you are comfortable taking advice from a man who lacks an understanding of the ramifications of his advice, then I highly recommend that you go see Dr. Shamis.
