Dr. Brian Shenker, OD

Dr Brian Shenker is excellent! Very patient and detailed. I really appreciate his attentiveness not only with me, but also my 2 sons.

While the doctor, Dr. Shenker, is friendly, he are not very honest in dealing with his clients. He recommended Monovision contacts despite my original request for bifocal contacts. He stated try it out and if doesn't work, we can always switch to Bifocal contacts, however no one mentioned that after 30 days, they would require a new visit and charge a new $60 fee. Since it took a few weeks for the contacts to arrive and I was never informed of the timeframe, I find it a dishonest and deceptive.

When Dr Shenker found out that I wouldn't be buying my glasses from him he lost all interest in me. You know that test eye doctors do, which is better this lens or this lens? Most doctors do it like 15 times right? Dr Shenker did it a total of 3 times with me. He obviously makes his money selling over priced frames. He gave me a lousy prescription which I either have to suffer with or spend another $225 to fix. I wouldn't go back to him if you paid me.

Once Dr. Shenker found out that I had only come to him for a prescription,I wouldn't be buying my glasses from him, he lost all interest in me. Most eye doctors do the which is better test 15 times? He did it only three times with me. If he spent 5 minutes with me that was a long time. And when I asked for a separate prescription for computer glasses all he did was scribble some numbers in the upper corner of original prescription. My new glasses are worse then my old ones.

People scoffed because I opted the "old school" techniques used by Dr. Shenker at Walmart. I don't scoff when they need my help reading the fine print. I left high tech ophthalmologists because my vision "cannot be restored to 20/20." My glasses from Dr. S brought me to my best possible vision...20/20. Great staff, and no techs deciding my needs. I love this doc!
