Listen don't lecture
I was assigned Mr. Marks through OHSU since they have a shortage of Primary Care Physicians. I have had a LOT of doctors over the years and the good ones listen and show compassion. Mr. Marks, neither asked me questions about my personal wellness nor did he listen to my needs or concerns. Instead he made judgemental assessment about my weight and suggested a healthier diet. When he asked about medications I am currently on he grimaced and said he wants to get me off these meds with controlled diet and exercise. Well guess what! I am vegan and I exercise regularly.
