counseling was a requirement I told my husband was nonnegotiable if he wanted to stay married. Im invested in making it work, but there needs to be 2 of us involved… Nemirow had zero recollection of what we had talked about the week before, or even that that was the premise of our counseling. Nemirow said ‘it was pointless to speak about the past’. Umm, the past is exactly why we’re going to counseling in the 1st place. How are we to work on the lying & other destructive behaviors if we don’t talk about them? 2. ‘oh look at the time!’ Btw, he was late to our zoom appts. Circular talk & psycho babble is what your 45 min will entail If you’re looking for clarity & guidance of Not repeating the same behavioral patterns, keep looking. you won’t find that with Bruce Nemirow.

What a waste of time and money. Saw him through Kaiser. The bulk of our sessions concentrated, almost exclusively, on the fact that “..Kaiser doesn’t do therapy.” (Direct quote, over and over.). Yet, he continually urged me to discuss my issues with him, often extensively, only to say...you guessed it, “Kaiser doesn’t do therapy.” I feel as if his approach was markedly inappropriate and unofficial, not to mention puzzling and downright cruel. See him at your own risk. Be prepared for him to surface your issues and then say he can’t do anything to help you.
