She said my son’s gash on his knee would be fine with steri strips or stitches. She said she could only put 1-2 stitches in and would have to let the rest of it just die off and become a scar. So, we went with steri strips. When our pediatrician saw the pictures of it the next day he was dismayed. He came over to our house that day to repair it correctly. There wasn’t any skin missing at all and with 5 carefully placed stitches he fit it all back together perfectly!
