Carolyn Piro, LCSW

Carolyn is pleasant, professional, compassionate and knowledgeable, with an equally intuitive approach to resolving traumatic life events as the lifelong issues that tend to plague us all. While she has several specific specialties under her belt, I recommend her frequently as the best therapist I have ever worked with. Originally, I went to Carolyn for symptoms of PTSD, which she helped me understand and deal with (to a level where it's largely resolved, and manageable in the rare occasion that it's triggered by external events that would otherwise have reinforced the trauma). I've trusted her with my emotional well-being and as someone that has been extremely helpful in reframing unsupportive thought patterns adopted along the way. She's dedicated and outstanding at what she does (and no, I'm not a relative, but I do consider her a friend).

Carolyn is a very kind and compassionate person who is passionate about her work. Ms. Piro went above and beyond to meet my needs.

I went to Caroline after a traffic accident that caused me to have PTSD, She was successful in resolving my original issue and also uncovered another issue which was also resolved. I would recommend her to anyone who has experienced a trauma.. I never felt rushed and she would make sure I was okay at the end of my sessions.

First of all I am a 16 year old Male with asbergers. This is my view on Carolyn. Carolyn is a really nice person. I had some bad therapists in the past and was scared of getting a new one. Carolyn was able to comfort me and was patient and understanding. It was nice to work with someone that understood how my Asbergers affected me and how to navigate the problems I am facing. Obviously from my review I give her a 5/5 Two thumbs up she's awesome!!! :)
