HORRIBLE PERSON/COUNSELOR

Years ago I went to see her regarding the abuse I was suffering from my husband, she turned everything around on me claiming I was schizo when in fact it was verified by two other therapists I suffered from PTSD due my now ex-husbands verbal, mental, physical abuse, his habitual cheating, his lying, and his threats of shooting me because me being dead would make his life much better. Sueing her would be the best thing to do!

Despite strong recommendations from friends, I was not impressed with Cathy. After describing my suicide ideation, she asked if I knew about eagle pose in yoga, and showed me how to do it. She also talked about how she led group therapy (CBT?) for clients with "real problems." In counseling terms of "do no harm," this was a really bad experience for me. I would not go back to see Cathy, but again, many of my friends (and her fellow counselors) strongly recommend her. Maybe if you have real problems.
