I echo what the other review says about Dr. Owen. He's not proactive, he's not engaged, he's not getting elbow deep in it with you. He's just going to sit there, let you talk about your week for an hour, and then send you a bill. If that's what you're looking for, then he's your man. But if you want someone who will truly listen, truly help, truly treat you as an individual and not just as another patient in the chair, then you should look elsewhere. Verdict: very expensive, very unhelpful.

I saw Dr. Owen for more than a year. The whole time, he was visibly bored. His eyes glazed over during our sessions, and more than once I caught him yawning. He is the kind of therapist who will sit back and ask how does that make you feel?, instead of offering real, practical advice. He does not take an active or earnest interest in his patients. He does not offer skills-based learning. He does not encourage new approaches to life, or new ways of thinking. Worst therapist I've worked with.
