Christie Ray, LMHC

I've been seeing Christie Ray for nearly two years, she is my 6th counselor, but only the second one that I found to be very helpful. Highly professional, warm and caring while maintaining appropriate boundaries, and really shows how much she enjoys her job by always handling her part. She has done a fantastic job at building a trustworthy, safe, and helpful environment where we can figure out how to handle my life better. I especially appreciate her ability to meet me on my level, exactly where I'm at, without judgement or criticism, and her willingness to work with my input on my care. Christie has been great at recognizing when a treatment isn't effective and coming up with creative ideas and new angles that are geared to fit ME, the human, rather than just what is standard for my diagnosis. I'd highly recommend her for any of my loved ones based on her professionalism, skill, and enthusiasm for helping.

I really like Christie but I always feel worse after our appointments. She makes me feel judged not empowered. She makes comments that make me not feel very good about myself. She makes assumptions that are not even close to reality She criticizes me and I just don’t feel like it’s a safe place to open up. I don’t know what to do
