I was referred to Lifestance by my physician and subsequently scheduled with Chris Camplair after talking with a Lifestance employee. I explicitly stated during the scheduling call that I was looking for a provider that had experience dealing with certain items and was assured that Chris Camplair dealt with these items. On my first session with Chris Camplair, I explicitly stated what I was looking for help with and we even discussed my family history. He convinced me to start CBT with him and I agreed to give it a try. I would note that he spent a lot more time discussing my religious views which were different from his own and he asked me to cancel testing for a certain mental health issue I explicitly indicated I was looking to understand if relevant so I can better address care. My second session seemed short and he made comments and references that were not applicable and I corrected him on this but ultimately I was told I needed to think about things differently. On my third session, I was asked if he was a good fit. This was about 30 minutes into the session and I asked why he would ask that. His response was about having a legal obligation if his treatment wasn’t working. There was no discussion about helping me find another provider. He then asked me about the testing I had scheduled and I had to remind him that he asked me to cancel which I did. Further he once again made incorrect references to people in my life and I had to correct him once again. I was in complete shock and wasn’t sure how to respond. He asked if I planned to schedule another session with him and I said that I had to think about it. He then pressured me to take his cell number and provide him feedback if I wasn’t. Three weeks later I received an in-app message from him saying I promised to contact him whether I was going to continue treatment and he he yet again made an incorrect reference which I had corrected him on in past sessions. I replied that I wouldn’t due to his unprofessionalism and provided the details mentioned above. I wish I had checked the reviews before accepting treatment from him as the 1 star reviews are exactly what I experienced and I’m writing this review to help show that Chris Camplair has a history of unprofessionalism and complete disregard for his patients’ wellbeing. I will also note that Lifestance would not allow me to provide an HSA card as my main billing payment and you cannot update your billing information online. Please check their Better Business Bureau reviews for the litany of past patients reporting that they were improperly billed. I will look for help elsewhere as both Lifestance and Chris Camplair provided a horrific experience.

Very Dulled
Telehealth
He is very judgemental and latches onto supercilious comments. He doesn't listen well and can barely remember patient's name. He will already have a decision made about you very quickly as others have stated. I think is education is outdated and bedside mediocre at best.

I went to him seeking help for an incident that happened at my work (he was a referral from my personal care provider) and he kind of seemed to have some preconceived notions about me. He seemed to have made a few assumptions that were contrary to what the truth was but I didn't want to correct him and he seemed to already have an opinion on me. I cut off my visits with him, and am hesitant to seek out another psychologist because of how this went.
