He listens, has a life time of experience in trauma and other issues. He is very encouraging, makes me feel comfortable, and his explanations always seem to make sense. His goal is your goal, to help you get better, feel better, and live better.

Strange experience with this guy. He tends to forget important events that you have told him in sessions. In my case in first sessions I specifically asked his opinion as a doctor if he would be able to help me with my trust issues. He expressed to me that he would be able to help me through therapy. I then committed myself to going to sessions. Then after a few months, without warning or discussion, he just dropped me. No communication, no explanation. Just dropped. No more appointments scheduled. No return phone calls to voicemail left. Left me hanging trying to figure what I had done. I thought it was going well and I had began to trust the guy a little. I assume he had a legitimate license to practice but I would warn you to take care, you may leave worse than when you started.

Chris was my therapist for about a year. He was great, and as someone who's never had a therapist before, he was easy to talk to and amazing at teaching coping mechanisms. However, since COVID-19 hit, he's been doing teletherapy and he's less good over video call. He's a bit harder to talk to, rambles a little too much, etc. He's not a therapist to go to forever, but if you're looking for someone to get you through something or start you off and point you in the right direction for finding someone else, he's your guy.

It was great in the beginning but mostly down hill from there. Dr. L was friendly and smart but soon started to become distracted. I stayed as long as I could but felt like I was wasting my time and copays. He could barely remember what we discussed each week. Then the office was in a state of disarray my last 3 to 4 months of being his patient. I had to find somewhere better.
