Where other providers wanted to keep decreasing my thyroid meds, after labs each time. Chris knew how to really look at my numbers, and he didn't do any decreases. He has 20 years experience of working at a naturopathic office, as well which affords him even more ability to treat:) Very kind and compassionate. Now to find someone like him, as he left Optima:)

My father was under the care of Dr Novak for several years and absolutely failed to take his cognitive decline seriously, instead further prescribing benzos. More concerned with collecting copays than providing care. Super suspicious when you search online for contact info.

This gentleman is knowledgeable in western and homeopathic healing. He listens and cares. He is one of the best medical practitioners I ever found.

My daughter and I are new in town and had seen Dr. Novak once each to establish care. We saw Dr. Novak again last week to refill inhalers, epi pens, routine stuff. He insisted on taking his mask off during the visit, so that my daughter wouldn't feel nervous (irony). Then he kept going on tangents, including describing a woman who committed suicide recently (in front of my 1st grader). Then he said, "Are you ready for your surprise pap smear!?" And posed with some semblance of jazz hands, hands which lacked gloves and behavior which lacked any sense of awareness. Then he insisted I needed a full blood panel. My daughter and I sat in the room for 50 minutes. Two nurses popped in to explain the wait, and I believed them. Eventually I gave up and apologized to the front office that I thought 3 hours was enough time for the appointment, but I must have planned poorly. Many days later our prescriptions have still not been filled. I keep calling. I'm mad I let myself feel so helpless.

I've been seeing Chris Novak for years. He allows me to be proactive in my care while appreciating the fact that I like to avoid certain medications and opt for healthier remedies. Instead of prescribing me antibiotics he suggested probiotics & Echinacea for my swollen lymph glands.

I sought medical advice from Dr. Novack for a lump on the back of my head as well as some gynecological concerns that he said he could look at. He caressed my hair rather than actually examining the lump on my head. He refused to do an external gynecological exam even though I was told that he would able to do this prior to the appointment. I came to the appointment wearing gloves and a mask, as I am currently immunocompromised and want to take as many precautions as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Novack told me that my mask was unnecessary and touched it with his hands without wearing gloves. My experience with Dr. Novack left me feeling violated, emotionally drained and more concerned for my health now, than before the appointment. I did not get the impression that Dr. Novack cares about the health of the community, his patients' or his own. I will be seeking care from other providers for my medical concerns.

Chris took a full, fresh look at my health and as a result of tests he ordered, I learned I have a milk allergy and have not been compliant in the celiac as I thought. Just fixing these 2 things dropped my pain and inflammation levels 70%. I am excited to get to the bottom of the other 30% and I think he'll do it if anyone can. It's not just testing; he just has a way of looking at things holistically and seeing things other doctors don't. Plus he explains things really well.

If you have anything complex, he will jump to conclusions and accuse you of either insanity or addiction. He underprescribed essential insomnia medicine and assumed I was an addict because I had to find other ways to sleep at night. The "other" things harmed my stomach long term, and I puked water in his office. He accused me of being drunk. I later found Ayurvedic herbs that restored proper levels of GABA & I sleep well now. I'm much more productive. Sucks i went to Novack seeking that result.
