I met Christy Beranek when my son was admitted to Miller Children's hospital in Long Beach. Not only was her bedside manner was terrible, but she neglected to wash her hands or put gloves on before sticking her finger in my infant's mouth. It happened so fast that I couldn't stop her before she stuck her finger in. This is how infections spread in the hospital and it was both disheartening and shocking to see the a member of the children's hospital having such little regard for safety and infection control.

She seems to know what she's doing, but she's kind of a smart aleck, and she gets more smart alecky the more questions you ask her. She wouldn't be my first choice of a physician's assistant to see, but with health insurance, you don't really have a choice.
