Christy Goldstandt, LPC

I have been working with Chris for four years now. She helped my through my divorce, an inability to feel emotions, challenges with codependency, and with unfolding my life. The somatic work Chris offers helps me find the emotions in my body that hold me back, and the beautiful emotions that I want to cultivate. Yes, I also do a lot of personal learning, and work. It is in the combination of my self study and working with Chris that have brought me the emotionally rich life I have today.

I started seeing Christi for help coping with stress during the pandemic. I lucked out, as her somatic method approach led to the quickest and deepest breakthroughs I've ever had! I'd previously done CBT therapy that helped with anxiety some, but the somatic work was on a different level. Every session felt like Inception, diving deep and talking directly with my subconscious. It sounds insane, but it's true! Through all of it, Christi was there to guide me through. Truly life-changing!!!

I have been seeing Christy since 2013 . She has helped me more than any other counselor I have ever been to. There isn’t enough room on this site to explain how valuable she has been in my life journey. She has taught me to use my breath to calm myself down and shown me how to practice speaking my truth in a productive manner. I have dealt with a lot of anger surrounding relationships and Chris has taught me to recognize it and how to push through it to gain serenity. The mindfulness therapy that she practices has been a huge gift to me in my recovery process. Whatever I am experiencing in my life ; I can guarantee that she can help me to get through it with love ,compassion and respect. She is a “REAL” person with a great sense of humor and has the ability to help you to see things that you didn’t know existed in your mind or heart. Christy is great with assisting clients with the ability to look inward. I would recommend her to anyone, but especially those struggling with childhood issues and anxiety. She really helped me to remember to take care of myself and I learned a ton from her in a short amount of time. She also has an amazing therapy dog that sometimes comes to work with her. She was very flexible working around my work and school schedule.
