Dr. Cynthia Kiernan, OD

In Dec 2024 I went to Dr Kiernan for an exam - took it to Walmart optical for new glasses and was told my insurance for the year was used up - So I waited for my insurance to be renewed, I went back to get the glasses - when I got them the prescription was wrong so I went to Dr. Kiernan's office to get them corrected and they said I had to pay $30.00 more to see the Dr. because the 30 days had passed. I told them why I was late in returning and they said that's the policy. Angrily I walked next door to the optical department and even though they pointed out several times that they were not affiliated with the Dr.'s office they then told me that because the prescription was over 30 days ago the lenses could not be replaced. I was enraged. How does an OD and an Optical department make these transactions without alerting person of these rules and policies? So now I still have no glasses and now I have to find a new OD and have to wait a month or two for my insurance to be reimbursed. No r

Never a more pleasant visit for an eye checkup. Will not going anywhere else after this visit.

Dr. Kiernan has been my optometrist for many years, having worn glasses and contacts for almost 4 decades, I have seen many eye doctors, and she is by far the best! She has treated me for everything from annual eye exams and contact prescriptions, to diagnosing and treating a corneal abrasion I had a few years ago. Knowledgeable, thorough, and caring, I give her my highest recommendation.
