Dr. Daniel Kupper, PHD

Dr. Kupper is a wonderful therapist. He is patient, kind, and insightful. He has both the tolerance and stamina to endure emotional highs and lows, and expresses understanding as he guides you through challenging life experiences. Like the rest of us, Dr. Kupper is imperfect, but he always strives to do better and did an admirable job modeling how to be human. Further, Dr. Kupper's sense of humor and authenticity were refreshing and freeing. I treasure the work we have done together and will always hold him in mind with fondness and respect.

I got a bad vibe from Daniel from the beginning. He always came across as disengaged and uninvested (took him 3 days just to answer my initial request for a consultation, always 10-15mins late for appointments, tells you texts are the best way to reach him then flat out doesn’t respond to them). Still, I gave him a chance since he comes across as smart... turns out intelligence alone doesn’t make for a good therapist. In the 2-3 months I worked with him, he never had anything insightful to say, never really helped me to work out my issues, opting instead to ask generic prompts to let me speak as much as possible for entire sessions so he could relax. The only suggestion he ever gave was a flippant, patronizing, belittling minimum wage career idea that had nothing to do with anything.
