Dr. Daniel Shehata, OD

I feel compelled to share my experience with Dr. Daniel Shehata due to the sheer level of unprofessionalism that I encountered. I had an appointment scheduled for 9:30AM on April 24, 2025 and arrived 10 minutes early only to be kept waiting for 45 minutes beyond my appointment time.When I finally saw the doctor and brought up the excessive delay, I was met with arrogance and a flippant attitude. Rather than offering a simple apology, Dr. Shehata became defensive, dismissive, and rattled off a list of excuses as if my time was unimportant. First, he blamed the traffic. I explained I lived 30 miles from his office and left in time to allow for the terrible traffic that we have in the Tampa area everyday. He then said, “Oh, I found out my dad has terminal cancer this morning.” I told him I was sorry to hear that, my dad has terminal cancer too and recently fell and broke his hip.
