Not enough therapeutic boundaries to maintain the safety and security of the therapeutic "container". Wouldn't recommend for women, but I could see being good for men's issues and other family therapy. If I could have known what I was going into I ahead of time I wouldn't have.

Helped my daughter immensely....
Dan has a no-fluff approach. After we had been to multiple counselors who seemed to be saying what everyone wanted to hear, we were relieved to find someone who actually "got" the challenges that come with co-parenting in a realistic format. He also has a strong understanding of boundary health, and my daughter needed this to be her best self. She went from a highly depressed state to finding her own path as a young adult with a full ride to her university of choice. She even practices her boundaries with me...lol...but in a respectful manner. Although, I know there are still challenges ahead, I'm forever grateful.

Dan is the only therapist I've ever had who has made a difference. He cares and it shows. I am unused to mental health professionals who make me feel as though they care and genuinely want to see my success.

Genuinely cares for the patients. Has even seen me at home in the past. Judgment occasionally lacking, but he's human. Patient, direct, interactive, kind, and generally a good person. Usually requested my hospitalization, regardless of actual mind set. Hospital was closed down due to abusive tendencies, though he wasn't aware of the abuse ( I think) Bad judgement, good care

If you want your relationship to work, stay away from him. He doesn’t listen. He saw us once as a couple then once as individuals and convinced both of us to break up with each other. Even though we had stated multiple times that is not what we wanted, he still pushed his own agenda. When he saw us both individually he would spend the entire session blaming our personal problems on our spouse. Even when we stated it wasn’t true. He was not willing to see a different perspective and didn’t respect our wanting to stay together. Which was the whole premises of us seeing him. He gave me a serious diagnoses after spending ten minutes with me. Which was refuted by my other long term care providers. He’s horrible with women, he belittled me multiple times in front of my spouse and in the private session. He told me I was incapable of being a mother. He told me that my spouse would eventually murdèr me. He told my spouse that I would put him in jail and hurt our child.
