The previous review should not be ignored, I also had only 3 or 4 visits with her and also left and also left the situation fully traumatized. I am not saying that lately at all. She identified trauma did trauma, abandonment issues and communication issues communication issues, after a very confusing appointment I sent her an email asking her about it about it and she fired me immediately. No Transition of care to someone else, nothing. She went off on me because she was billing me less than her coworkers make & had opted to take me during evening hours which interrupts her time with her family. It was a wildly unprofessional response, even if I had sent her an email telling her I thought she was terrible it would have been a wildly unprofessional response. Two subsequent therapists that my husband and I have spoken to have both requested that she be reported because of mulitple ethical breaches, she should be under supervision and not be allowed to supervise anyone else.

I found Danielle Strobeck on PsychologyToday where she lists Body Positivity under her allied Communities. I was looking for a therapist that could help me continue on my ED recovery journey and was body positive/neutral. Within 3 appointments, she strongly encouraged my eating disorder, advised me to cut sugar to achieve my ultimate goal weight, and compared her (thin) body to mine. She also did a lot of self disclosure in our appointments - which is fine when relevant and helpful, but it wasn't. She drove me to tears twice and not in a constructive or healing way. The past six months since I terminated our medical relationship, I have not stopped thinking about how awful and damaging she was to my recovery and mental health, and her voice and face still feature in my memories. I do not say this lightly: she was traumatizing. I've gone back and forth on reviewing her, but I really truly fear for anyone who sees her for ed recovery.
