Darcy Leveque, MS

Darcy seems genuine and I believe she does think that she is helpful. However, I found it a bit of a red flag when she boasted about being born to do this work and how everyone would always ask her for advice before she became a therapist. As time went on I felt that she seemed to be creating more tension and encouraging fighting rather than keeping us centered on constructive communication. She also spent a good deal of time talking about her personal life, even when it had nothing to do with the situation we were there to discuss. She seemed to take sides at times and in the end I regret choosing to work with her, even though we only saw her a handful of times.

I saw Darcy for a number of years and towards the end she was cancelling appointments last minute, sometimes forgot to let me know she wasn’t going to be in her office for our scheduled session. She spent a good portion of time talking about her personal life in session and would draw connections from my presenting problems to her own life. She responded passive aggressively when asked for a copy of my progress notes, which by law clients have a right to. Once upon a time I would’ve recommended her, now I don’t think I could in good conscience.

Darcy is authentic and genuine but spends much of the therapy session talking about herself and her family. She sometimes cancels at the last minute but will charge if a client does the same. She has become aggressive and agitated when asked for paperwork. I can’t recommend her as a therapist.
