Post-Surgical Care Experience
I was under the care of Darrah D. Craig, P.A. For Dr John T. Mays, after an above-the-knee amputation at Willis-Knighton. Despite conversations about my complex pain history and past cancer treatments, my pain medication plan was not followed through. A requested update wasn’t documented, which led to a night of unmanaged pain. My medication was only corrected after I contacted hospital compliance.Throughout my stay, I felt rushed through interactions and had to follow up on issues I expected the care team to handle. This added stress at a time I needed stability and support. I’m sharing this to help improve care experiences for future patients.
