Darrell Deguzman, PMHNP

I felt absolutely exhausted after my appointments with Darrel. What a nasty man he is. I switched from Harbor Psychiatry because of Darrel Deguzman and am so appreciative of my new psychiatrist because of this man. He gaslighted me constantly. Made me feel like my problems were my own fault? All I ask for is kindness.

He was short and rude ..

Could even be bothered to have common courtesy! Hangs up with no goodbye and not even a greeting when you see him! Treats you like a business transaction and not a human. Should not able practicing medicine!

This guy didn’t even introduce himself or ask how I was just started straight up asking for facts that I already filled out prior to our visit so I know he didn’t even bother checking my file. Was barely treated with any respect at all honestly. Before I could even say goodbye he just ended the call. No goodbye, no take care, nothing. Just ended call with a click and gone. Incredibly unprofessional and sad too because he clearly is in the wrong line of work if he can’t treat humans with come decencies.

Never returned calls or followed up promptly, always rushed, and never listened. If expressed issues with symptoms or dosage, was told to just go to pcp over it and increase dose. Would put me on call with the psychiatrist while with him, but never provided reliable information about condition, medications, or treatment. At one point, he gave a month’s supply of sample medication, and just told to try my best and follow up in three months. Extremely too casual which provides even less reliability to his services, when he’ll just try to curse and be buddy buddy instead of actually offering any help.
