David Bova, LCPC

My teenager participated in counseling with David Bova for at least a year. My child had a few issues to see a counselor for but two major issues were divorce of parents and parental alienation. When I found that my ex wife was sticking with a counselor after shopping around to suit her agenda, it was with her co-worker. I reached out to Mr. Bova on several occasions with no reply. I would have liked to share the history of our relationship, photos, and text messages between my child and I. So that he could see that there was a good and positive relationship between us until one day my child was afraid of me but didn’t know why. There was no order of protection or court order preventing him from communicating with me. Apparently Mr. Bova feels that he can adequately counsel a child with only one parents involvement. He obviously has no problem playing an active role in alienating a child from one of their parents. One would think that counselors would receive training to recognize when they are being manipulated.
