My narcissistic spouse was in the process of putting out the little fires of my spirit about 10 years ago; I believe that Dave saw this early on when the spouse was attending our counseling sessions. However, Dave allowed me to "discover" it for myself after the spouse got angry that he was being outed and stopped coming to the sessions. There was nothing I could do to repair the relationship, but Dave did a great job of getting me through that painful time with healing and recovery.

David has a very limited schedule. It's very inconvenient for working persons. More importantly he begins by offering constructive communication counseling for couples but when discussion becomes deeper than generalized communication counseling he tends to pander to the individual driving the train, the partner initiating the counseling. He makes snap judgements without nearly enough background and in depth exploration of overall situation, generally in favor of the partner holding the purse.
