Dr. David Helmer, DC

I arrived at the time of an appointment made more than two months ago only to be told by a sullen receptionist that there was a mistake on the date and that the doctor would not see me. The mistake was certainly not at my end but my 40 minute drive was to no avail. I do not recommend this chiropractor.

Dr. Helmer is the best thing to happen to me! I suffered from pain and numbness in my arms. He taught me what to do at home to help prevent it and his adjustments definitly help. I try to go every 4 weeks and I can tell when it's been longer (and I'm not doing what I'm supposed to do at home) Doc Helmer explains things as he does the adjustments and any thing new I tell him about he goes to the area that would need adjusting and he can tell exactly what I'm talking about. I go to him before I go to my family doctor. I seriously can not say enough about him!!!

While living in Central New York we saw Dr. Helmer whenever we had an issue. He always offered tips for self care and rarely scheduled more than 2 or 3 appointments. We had moved away and shortly after my husband started experiencing problems. He went to a chiropractor who scheduled many visits with no relief. Went to a specialist who diagnosed spinal stenosis and said “live with it until it becomes unbearable then we’ll talk surgery.” While in The Barneveld area for a visit we decided to see Dr Helmer. He gave my husband a one visit tune-up, gave a detailed explanation of the problem, explained what had to happen for relief and gave a series of exercises that he said would help. After following Dr Helmer’s advice. I’m happy to say, my husband can walk Much longer distances without pain and numbness.

I found great results ! Went to him every time my back and hips were out,i since have moved away and can't find anyone that comes close to helping me as he did.
