Dr. David West Sr, OD

We went to Dr. West's office and the visit demonstrated poor customer service! The front desk staff DID NOT verify coverage AND assumed there were no changes, when, in fact, there were changes. If they would have taken a minute to VERIFY coverage BEFORE the exam, then we would have had an opportunity to decline services. Since that did not happen, we had to pay for the exam! We are on a fixed income and $100+ is a lot for us to pay! Therefore, BEFORE you go for an exam with Dr. West, make sure that the front office validates your coverage before setting an appointment, because they like to ASSUME and they DO NOT check your coverage beforehand. So, If you are NOT covered AFTER the exam is done, you are told..."BTW: You are NOT covered, so you owe us X dollars!" How did they know weren't covered?They VERIFIED it!! REALLY?? After the fact?? Not cool! This is a MAJOR GAP in their process! Suggestion: Go to America's Best..at least you know what you owe BEFORE the exam! Not Happy!
