FIND ANOTHER PROVIDER
FIND ANOTHER PROVIDERShe had my intake forms, insurance information and credit card information for over a month and a half and waited until the day of our appointment to tell me that she couldn't treat me because I had a 'dual diagnosis.' One: I don't have a dual diagnosis and had never heard that before. Two: Really?!? Make someone wait that long for an appointment when she knew she wouldn't treat me. That's cruel. Don't let that happen to you. CONFIRM DEANN LAUER IS REALLY ABLE TO HELP YOU

We are lucky to have Ms. Lauer treat my son
My 16 years son has been seeing Ms. Lauer for a year and he has made tremendous progress. Now he has stopped one medicine and will be out on last medicine in about two month. She has been very patient and knowledgeable, tried different lab tests to find out the best treatment for my son. We really appreciate all of her help and careness.26 May 2024, Allan

Would not recommend
We felt belittled by Deann, our child was her patient. We are parents, but our views seem to not matter to her. Deann did not seem to have the patience or kindness with her voice.

The arrogance of this woman is shocking. Her attitude toward military medicine was a deal breaker for us. She thinks she knows better than our doctor. She believes that she has knowledge of our insurance plan but is entirely incorrect. Had we followed her advice we would have ended up with huge Medical bills. Thankfully, I contacted our insurance directly. We also did not appreciate her attitude regarding covid. She clearly believes that because she's vaccinated she's immune. Deann was referred to us by our counselor, unfortunately she told us she has too many referrals to be able to keep track of which counselors refer to her. She stated that she has thousands of referrals and is too busy to make appointments closer than 8 weeks out. Maybe that's true, but her attitude is so arrogant!

I have been going to Deann for around 3 years now. When I first showed up, I was greeted with open arms and was opened up to the idea that I was having adverse reactions to my meds. But this quickly changed. After detailing my chronic illness (IBS) to Deann a couple years ago, I told her i was smoking weed to help. Mind you, I was legally doing this, and had/have a med card obtained by the state. When she found out about this, every single visit seemed like an attack on me about smoking, even when i told her I knew the repercussions. We even got into a screaming match or 2 about it. This is not normal behavior for a mental health professional. A psychiatrist is supposed to prescribe mental medication only. But recently Deann has dipped her toes into prescribing physical vitamins to me, and then tried to force me to get a vitamin D injection, before she would prescribe me my meds. Deann is unprofessional, Condescending, and rude. I would never recommend her to someone else.

Horrible bedside manner. She thinks she's a doctor. She demands respect with demeaning comments. She is always right and you (the parent) are obviously wrong. I know it is hard to find anyone that can help with behavioral issues but she is not it. Unless you voted for Joe Biden....then you'll probably love the way she makes decisions for you and doesn't consider your opinion.

We waited 2 months for my daughter who has severe panic attacks to see Ms. Lauer. I talked to them previously to ask if any forms were needed. When we got in Ms. Lauer asked if I had brought documentation showing I had medical decision making. I had not been informed about this but said I could get them emailed to her right away. She repeatedly suggest we call her father who is not allowed interaction with us. She said "too late, we just need to reschedule". I cried and she showed no compassion

Deann has been very helpful. I have a high deductible insurance plan and Deann was very kind in working with my provider to help find me a better priced medication. I also greatly appreciated that she offers genetic tests that can help predict adverse effects.

DeAnn means the best but she isn’t intuitive with people. She looks for the answers she wants and isn’t the best at listening. She has so many clients she doesn’t remember much about you as an individual.
