Deborah Peterson, APRN

She took her time with me and I was more than willing to wait the little extra time to see her because I know it's a result of taking time with her patients and not being overly driven by a clock. She was thorough & knew to ask questions on the first visit that other doctors I've seen for years never asked. She was also humble and able to refer me to a specialist when she knew what was out of her scope. She was supportive when I was a little tearful about quiting nicotine. As someone with many complex health conditions for many years & who wants to be an active participant in my care while still recognizing I need medical direction and medical care from healthcare professionals, she is an overall amazing practitioner, primary care provider, and person.

I did not have a good experience with Nurse Peterson. I felt very motivated to get established with a new provider, was prepared with a list of questions/concerns. Almost right away it was clear that I was not being seen as an individual, and her mind was made up about the person that I am. She was judgemental about current prescriptions that I had, scoffed at my questions and made me feel unimportant and overlooked. I left my appointment in tears (I am not typically an emotional person!), feeling angry, sad and scared. I was going to give it another chance and go for a second appointment (her recommendations in the appointment lined up with a specialist I saw a few weeks later, which is great!), but I've rescheduled with another provider rather than risk another appointment where I don't get the care that I need due to becoming emotional. tldr; Bad bedside manner & judgemental

Dr. Peterson takes her time & answered all my questions. Really like her as my new primary Dr.
