Unprofessional and judgmental
Within seconds of calling me for an initial consultation, where I expressed that I had gained 5 pounds after intuitive eating, Debra told me that I need bariatric surgery. This is based on BMI only. She did not ask about my habits, or take into account that I work out 3-4 days a week, eat healthy, and overall take care of myself. Surgery was not an option, which I expressed several times. Debra kept berating me and trying to convince me why I need to go under the knife - even saying that kids are doing it these days. I was horrified and appalled, and I would urge anyone who is looking for nutrition and diet recommendations to try anybody else.

No Way.
I reached out to Debra after discovering my infant daughter had a rare food allergy condition. Before knowing a single thing about us or even scheduling an appointment, she called and told me I'm feeding her the wrong type of yogurt and that I should be giving her soy yogurt; She then told me she had never heard of my daughter's condition (which made sense since she had just told me to feed her one of the TOP trigger foods to AVOID with her condition). When I decided to see a pediatric gastroenterologist instead, Debra ridiculed me and said the doctors will "not do anything" for me and tell me there's nothing wrong with her and send me right back to her for nutrition advice. She also told me my daughter's pediatrician wouldn't know anything and would be of no help to me. She said she had done "a lot of reading up" on this condition (keep in mind she had never heard of it 24 hours prior) and that "it's really not a big deal" - (Yes, she really told me that my daughter's severe food all

Let me express my deep gratitude to Ms. Debra-Brown Grossman for her outstanding work in the treatment of my GI problems. After spending several days in a hospital, I experienced difficulties with switching from low-residue to high-fiber diet. I found many recommendations on the Internet, but still was not feeling well. Trying to address my ongoing health problems, I started to look for a nutritionist, and I was fortunate that Ms. Grossman accepted me as a patient. Prior to the appointments I sent my food journals and the related GI issues I experienced to Debra. I also prepared the lists of questions to be discussed during the appointments. Debra answered all my questions in great detail and asked me various questions as well. After gathering and analyzing that information, Debra sent me lists with the supplements and food she recommended. These recommendations were extremely helpful.

Debra is very experienced and knowledgable. She is very dedicated to help and takes an all encompassing view of her patients nutritional needs. I consulted her about diabetes and blood glucose. She has answers for every question and provided information from various scientific studies and references to the nutritional content of thousands of foods. She takes all the time necessary. She reviewed blood work and set up a Fat-Carb-Protein intake plan. Made recommendations to control lipids as well.

She leaves her office door open and I could hear what was going on with the other patient. She made fun of me in front of my son, she went on and on about a subject that was mute. Very unprofessional. I went there for help and left feeling very bad about myself and having so much anxiety. Her office is in shambles and she is very disorganized.

She knows a lot about nutrition. Beyond that, she's very unprofessional. Her office was cluttered so I could see other patient's info. She was on the phone with a provider speaking about someone else. She overcharged me for the visit. She was a half hour late. I wouldn't come here again.

Debra is a quality provider of nutritional care. She does not pull punches - if your health is in danger she will be frank. She is not selling a nutrition plan and is not co-opted by a food system. She will direct you to other quality professionals and likely bariatric surgery if you qualify. If you aren't prepared to make major changes in diet and to SAVE YOUR LIFE, you may not be ready. If you are, you'll be on the road to recovery FAST.

Dr. Grossman reviewed my blood work and indicated I should have had my A1-C & vit. D checked. She also reviewed my meals for the past week. I knew my diet is terrible. Dr. Grossman printed out numerous documents for me to take home as a guide to assist in my improving my diet. I found Dr. Grossman to be easy to talk . Dr. Grossman did a Body Composition Reading on me and informed me I was in the normal range. I was very happy with my appt. I am trying to get my husband to see her as well.

She seem to be very judgmental when it came to listening to your struggles. The point of seeking help is the understanding that your lifestyle is not correct and changes need to be done, therefore, she shouldn't make you feel like you it was a bad idea to seek help.
