She was helpful in adjusting current aids but wanted to sell me new ones, said one price while I was there. Went back 2 weeks, she quoted a much, much higher price than when I was first in office. Didn't buy.

Dr. Griffin saw my wife for a hearing exam and hearing aids. The total cost was $7,100 for everything. She told us that the insurance would only pay $1,400 and we would be responsible for $5,700. She signed me up with Care Credit (aka Synchrony Bank) to cover the balance. Months later we found out that our insurance allowed $5,000 and paid her $4,250 as a participating provider, leaving a $750 deductible as our responsibility. So, Dr. Griffin was paid $4,250 from the insurance plus $5,700 from Care Credit, totaling $9,950 in payments. She was overpaid by several thousand dollars and refuses to give us the money that was overpaid. Had we known the insurance would pay that much, we would never have taken out a line of credit for $5,700, there was no need to as we could afford the $750 deductible. She knew as a participating provider what the insurance was going to pay. We are still trying to recoup our money. At the very least what she did was unethical, and probably criminal.
