Debra was quick to make false assumptions about me. The only way for her to understand me and my reason for seeking counsel was to give her some background information about my current situation. I had been extremely upset and vulnerable in regard to the situation but felt I calmly explained everything, though it was a lengthy story in order for her to understand the entire picture. I brought my husband along for emotional support; and, after I explained what was going on, she basically told me that I was to blame for the situation that I was in. She actually said, "Well I can tell that you are overly dramatic. You've done nothing but babble on since we started this session!" She then looked at my husband and said, "Is this how she always is!?" My husband was my support person, yet she was trying to turn him against me! My situation involved my profession and place of employment, and she actually said, "I'm sure they are looking for a way to get rid of you." And this was not the case.
