She was rude, would not listen to the opinion of a mother who is a mental health professional and is lacking in knowledge and identification of Neuro diversity and effects of medication, all of which were crucial in her assessment. The effects of her lack of empathy and knowledge were damaging to my child and her assessment and report caused actual harm. Avoid this person at all costs.

Knowledgable with integrity
Dr. Raffe was engaged as a CFI in our custody case. She was extremely thorough, multiple interviews with child in different settings, both parents, teachers, friends. She was detail-minded and wrote an even-handed report which presented clear recommendations that at that time, prevented a nasty court hearing. She was very professional at all times, and very knowledgable.

dr rafee was supremely ill equipped to evaluate the psychological disposition of our child in a custody situation. she only listened to the parent she liked from the outset, which she made no bones about, who convinced her of our child's "behavioral issues" - they were unable to attend school due to panic attacks and they refused to go to the one parent as they felt suicidal w that parent. she did not believe the input of a specialist in the field, who found her to be closed minded and rude. as a result our child was sent to a facility for behaviorally disturbed kids. though our child was abused there, (an added trauma due to her misdiagnosis and arrogance) they saw that he was in fact bipolar and that there were no behavioral issues. she missed the raging narcissism and suicidal reaction of our child to such a parent. it is truly, truly, a miracle that our child survived the PRE and it's traumatic implications. I knew that my only job was to keep my child alive through this nightmare.

She is a supposedly neutral party in child custody cases but in my experience either had absolutely no idea how to verify information or no desire to do so, engaged in stereotyping and innuendo, was demeaning and dismissive, and violated the creed of her profession: first do no harm. She did grave harm

As a child of split parents who had Dr. Deena mediate parenting time, I am forever grateful to her. It's years later and any person I see going through a split up with a child I try to recommend to her.

I saw Dr. Raffe about 15 years ago. She helped me work through an anxiety disorder and I found each of our sessions very helpful. She was patient but direct, and much of what I discovered about myself in therapy with Dr. Raffe has helped me grow personally and professionally over the years. I would recommend her to anyone.

We were trying to interview her and child or family therapy and found her to be bossy and rude. The rug on the floor was disgustingly dirty. Also after 10 minutes wanted to go on the clock (cash not insurance) to explain her other services.

I was involved in a bitter child custody battle in which Dr. Raffe posed as a neutral party, allegedly emotional support for a minor child. She immediately disliked and turned on me, treating me as the abuser, when the other party was. Having lost custody, in great part to Raffe's evaluation, today the child, having grown up in an abusive household never leaves the house, has no self esteem, isolates and feels worthless due to a controlling, punishing and abusive home.
