Dr. Denise Goglucci, PSY

Was so grateful to see similar reviews. I told her i was abused as a child, and naturally my volume of voice is loud, and she told me I'm abusing HER over the phone. Wow.After three sessions (she canceled the first one ~10 mins in) No empathy, no insight, paternalistic and authoritarian attitude, and super sensitive over questioning her credentials. Then try repeating back her own words in chat - She will immediately stonewall you and 'report you' (no, i dont work for the platform as she does). I've been in treatments for ~30 years (inpatient, intensive outpatient, in person talk therapy, app-based therapy, etc). I've not once felt compelled to initiate a grievance against a provider until now. This person is actively causing harm to those who need help the most. The issue is she was the only doctor (PsyD) on the telehealth platform used by my insurance company. This person should be removed from that excellent telehealth platform. Buyer beware and record your sessions!!!

I would have loved to have given her a chance, but after my appointment being canceled twice the day before with no reason why or communication, I can't deal with that. I have a job and kids to work around, my schedule can't change constantly like that on short notice. It's unprofessional, don't list available times if you're actually unavailable.

She was not empathic and she has a cold attitude. After session she recommended reading tools that she’d send to my email on a Monday. Never got them. I reached out to her on the following Friday that I still haven’t received an email, she was very mean and unprofessional. I left and found a new provider immediately. She has lack of urgency or care for her patients.

Within the first 30 seconds, I could tell that Dr. Goglucci was not the right therapist for me. After confirming my name and DOB, she said 'What's going on now?' and brought up the fact that I've canceled prior tele-heath visits in the past and wanted to make sure I was motivated to begin therapy to work through my issues. I have encountered some scheduling issues in the past but did not expect that to be brought up during my first visit. While I do not know her intent, she was a bit too forward and blunt for my taste. I think Dr. Goglucci could benefit from refreshing her skills in empathy, as I was treated with nothing but apathy from her and a cold attitude and demeanor. If that works for you, she'll be great. Otherwise, don't waste your time with Dr. Goglucci and find another more caring and empathetic therapist out there.
