The help I needed!
I worked in a great place, was employee of the month and well respected according to multiple sources during their exit interviews. I had longstanding wonderful relationships with several families who's family members I cared for on a daily basis. I was in heaven on earth. *This too shall pass...* I still got forced out when a new manager came onboard. A new manager that, for whatever fkd up reason did not like me at all... I LOST MY MIND!!! (I actually quite nursing altogether after this event. Nursing is not hard. Sometimes, nurses are hard on each other though. In the profession, the expression is: "Nurses eat their young." That is a real thing and it's really tragic.) ***Denise was able to help me keep it together. Years later, I still have vivid memories of this absolutely traumatizing event in my life and my time talking with Denise. I might have survived the trauma without Denise, but she kept my soul intact. Denise is an excellent counselor. :)
