Dominique Battle, MS

When I first got in contact with Dominique over the phone, she sounded very empathetic regarding my concerns and offered to see me immediately despite my not having a job at the time. Although she was not accepting insurance, she did offer a sliding scale where we agreed to a certain rate based on what I could afford. The office space is cozy and comfortable, with nice ambiance for private sessions. I feel that my situation was a little mishandled and I did not really receive actual counseling. What I got was time spent crying in the office and some consoling. I don't think she was aware of my needs, as I never received take-home advice or reading material on what I was going through. I left each of the 3 sessions having to figure things out on my own. She has her own process and reasons for her methods, but I wouldn't think that someone in desperate need of real help would be safe in her care. Perhaps more well-adjusted people who are not facing crisis may benefit from her counsel.
