Candidate for Knee Replacement
My first appointment with Don was excellent. He explained things thoroughly and said I was a good candidate for a knee replacement. It was my decision as to when.I said I wanted to go ahead with the knee replacement. He indicated I needed to be seen by the surgeon. He added my name to a wait list. It has been 9 months and I still have not been scheduled to see the surgeon. I have called 3 or 4 times to see if I can get in to see the surgeon soon. The answer is also, I see you are on the wait list but there are no openings now. I sent a request for information about when I might be seen by the surgeon via the patient portal. I received no response.I also got conflicting information from Don and his nurse about how frequently I could get a cortisone shot in my knee.Overall, I have been very disappointed and frustrated with the follow-up from the Ortho Department.
