Donna Chee was my nurse practitioner for 5+ years before she retired. I found her to be very informative and I appreciated her direct approach. I appreciate direct communication and I was sad when I found out that I needed an OBG when I was pregnant. I wanted Donna, she always told me how it was, not what I wanted to hear. My husband didn't want to get the flu shot when I was pregnant and she told him directly that the shot wasn't for him, it was for his pregnant wife and our baby... I also thought she kept a timely schedule. When I had an OBG Dr during pregnancy the DR was ALWAYS late. Donna was ALWAYS on time and efficient. I also had a positive IUD experience with Donna, I had to go 2x since my cervix was difficult and needed to be medically opened (i had to take a pill prior to the 2nd visit), but overall it was a good experience. Sad Donna retired and hope she is off enjoying her family. An excellent bright nurse practitioner who is missed <3

I first saw Ms. Chee 5 months ago. I wanted to remove the Mirena IUD I'd had for 15 months. The IUD gives me excruciating and debilitating cramps, super heavy bleeding, and to top things off, I'm a lesbian and therefore do not require its contraceptive effects. However, Ms. Chee did not want to remove it. I agreed to wait a few months longer. Two weeks ago, I made a second appt after feeling a sizeable mass in my vagina. By the time of the appointment, I couldn't feel it anymore, but obviously I was still worried. Ms. Chee was completely dismissive of my concerns. She didn't provide reassurance or say what it might have been, and when I asked her what I ought to do if I felt it again, she said to make another appointment . What a waste of my time and money! I also asked again about having my IUD removed, to which she said, let's keep it in "just to be safe." This dismissal of my sexuality and overall refusal to listen to my healthcare wishes is appalling. DO NOT SEE DONNA CHEE.

Rude, unfeeling, not factual. Behaved terribly with my sister when she found out her pregnancy wasn't viable. Shamed her for having a cup of caffeinated tea a day, saying it was bad for the baby, which is not supported factually. Was unkind when it was discovered there was no heartbeat, and YELLED at my sister to make a decision on which kind of termination she wanted. My sister and her husband have left Kaiser because of this woman.

in 2014, I was called into Kaiser for a 2nd pregnancy checkup. Seems like they miscalculated how far I was. Donna was not helpful at all in explaining my timeline of tests I needed to take. She was rude and made me feel stupid. I explained my confusion as a first time mom. I was overwhelmed and she didn't take the time to explain or make me feel comfortable at all. My sister, who is a Nurse, was with me and told her she shouldn't be talking to a patient this way. I left Kaiser because of her.
