Dr. Douglas Blankenship, OD

Great guy, smart man.

I’ve been to several eye doctors and Dr Blankenship is the only b one who really helped me. He knew during exam I had macular degeneration and sent to an Opthamologist. He recommended better eye drops for allergies than I was using. I had a very thorough eye test and checkup.

I live an hour and a half away from Abilene in the country with no cell service. I had an appt for 2:15. I showed up the door is locked and the 'we will be back' clock is set for 1:45. I see the receptionist and knock on the door, she points to the clock, I showed her my clock displaying the time for 2:15. She opens the door and I tell her my appt is for 2:15. In nothing less than can be described as a snippy attitude she states you HAD an appt at 2:15. We TRIED to call you. WE didn't get to lunch until 1:45 so your appt is now at 2:45. I wasn't upset about the time change but the attitude really turned me off. I'll be going somewhere else.

I called to schedule an appointment, was hung up on when questioning why I had to send my insurance information ( that I had verified prior) and was told "we are not going to see you" and hung up on. Really?
