Insulted us as he didn't know how to treat CFS-ME
On my initial visit, Doc claimed he understood my long-term CFS-ME condition and knew how to treat it.He treated me 3 times, each time I got sicker than I was before. Then he suggested a full range of traditional and EXPENSIVE medical lab tests which are not designed to diagnose CFS-ME conditions. The 4th time he implied my conditions were all in my head which are the typical INSULT by people who don’t know how to handle CFS-ME symptoms. There are many considerate ways for a doctor to tell a patient that they are inexperienced and unequipped to treat their conditions without insulting them. This Doc chose the other way to do it, trying to make me feel like I was making it all up.Having seen many Docs in 30 years of dealing with this complex and not well understood condition, real pros were unafraid to state they didn’t know what to do, but were willing to research, try different approaches and help.He was clearly unwilling to admit he didn’t know it all, chose to insult instead.
