Dr. Efrem Alambar, OD

Dr. Alambar should not be practicing. He told me that my son (who has been wearing glasses for 5 years) did not need any glasses and that his vision was perfectly fine. When questioned about his current glasses; his stigmatism; and complaints; he stated I should be elated a doctor was telling me that my child did not need glasses; (as if I was ashamed or something that he does). Instead he billed my insurance for a visit, and told me to get out of his office that I was hurting my son. In addition to being rude, him charging my insurance for the visit that did nothing for us but upset my son; I could not seek another consultation somewhere else without paying for it out of pocket. I did do what was right for my son and went somewhere else and CLEARLY could see that my son did in fact need glasses. I have been wearing glasses/contacts for over 25 years and know better. DO NOT GO TO THIS OPTOMETRIST!"
