Emily is one of the only healthcare providers who looks beyond mental health issues to see the physical health issues that, at times, spurs the mental health issue. She doesn't judge our looks, she treats her patients. I don't feel I can say that about many Franciscan professionals.

My recent visit with Dr. Emily Benson was great.She is a wonderful doctor. She listened to my health concerns with attention and patience. She performed a detailed examination and asked a lot of questions regarding my health. I feel that I am very well cared for by her.

As I mentioned earlier I think the NP I saw was top quality in the profession.

Dr Benson is a real good doctor. She is very easy to talk to. And answers all my questions.

told her repeatedly I couldn't breathe. She kept looking up my nose and saying "hm". Refused to refer me to specialist. I later saw specialist after he removed half of my thyroid and said, "by the way, I can't breathe." Dr. looked up my nose and said, "that's bad, but I can fix it for you. Would you like that? " I replied "Yes" Turned out I had a deviated septum and Dr. performed a bilateral septoplasty and turbinectomy, which took care of my breathing problem. Emily Benson clearly knows nothing about the anatomy of the nose and doesn't care about referring her patients to appropriate doctors for treatment. I have no respect for her behavior on that issue. She acted as though if she could not see a problem, it did not exist, and she was dead wrong!
