Dr. Ephraim Ciruzzi Frankel, PHD

Over the course of many years, Dr Frankel has played an extremely important role towards the pursuit of unlocking my full potential. His professionalism, along with his experience has proven invaluable in my personal and professional life. His ability to understand challenges on a much deeper level has allowed me to work on core topics that allow for long term growth. He is deeply thoughtful, caring and compassionate towards individuals unique situations. His approach suits me extremely well, as no one size shoe fits all. Though life will continue to challenge us, his approach has helped me find success in more ways than I could identify. He has played an extremely important role throughout my life, and together we have shared a professional relationship that has allowed a level of personal growth that I couldn't have achieved without working together. If you find yourself lucky enough to work with him, consider it a blessing as he has helped me beyond measure.

Ephraim has been my therapist for over a year. I'm grateful to him for his listening skills, patience, and honesty! He listens not only for what is said, but what may not be said - may be just as important. He's been patient with me as he's helped me navigate some pretty challening times. He's honest. He'll tell you what he hears you saying, what he percieves in your words. And in that, he shares what may be more helpful for you in your life/journey. I'm very grateful to him for his kindness and warmth throught the sessions. It shows he really cares!

Dr. Frankel listened and provided directions and resources at each visit that helped us do productive relationship work in between visits. He was available and accommodating. We continued using him even after our insurance carrier no longer provided the service. Very grateful.

Dr. Frankel (although he insisted on first names!) is a fantastic professional. I met with Dr. Frankel over the course of about 8-10 months from late 2019 through 2020. I was certainly someone who felt weak for needing to 'talk to someone'...but truth be told, Dr. Frankel helped me see that working with him was a thoughtful investment in myself. I would recommend Dr. Frankel to anyone seeking more clarity on their path, their purpose and the important relationships in their life.

Dr. Frankel is highly knowledgable, articulate, and professional. I appreciated his wisdom, tips, and techniques involving compulsive behaviors and obsessive tendencies. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Frankel misunderstood the entire situation, falsely diagnosing the victim as the abuser and the abuser as the victim. He had been duped by the abuser's own gaslighting. It was a horrifying experience. In addition, Dr. Frankel repeatedly ignored my request for help with alcohol addiction, which both I and my spouse had admitted to having. By the end of it all, he had given my spouse a sense of justification, and the last session was an absurd bullying session in which Dr. Frankel and joined my spouse in belittling me.

Felt very unsafe. Perhaps for some people, but you should think twice. Don't recommend.

Compassionate and Competent, by degrees better than other therapists I've worked with. I'm grateful for his stewardship through the challenges I faced. His wisdom is a gift.

Dr. Frankel's style is targeted, effective and steeped in his obvious many years of experience. He has a relaxed and friendly (yet professional) way about him that put me at ease from the very first exchange. I highly recommend Dr. Frankel. He is a true gem!

Dr. Frankel has been exceedingly patient and gracious over years treating my husband and me through a tumultuous relationship. If not for his perseverance we would not be where we are today...in a healthy, satisfying marriage. He was both warm and professional. I felt he was engaged always, and invested in our success. The outside work he encouraged was effective (when it was done) and resulted in some truly amazing progress towards living as our best authentic selves. Dr. Frankel was instrumental in repairing years of damage, from the shrapnel of daily life to the smoldering ruins after a betrayal. Not many therapists could listen and respond as personally and as effectively as Ephraim Frankel. We were blessed to have him and recommend him highly to people we care about when they are in need.

Eph, as he likes to refer to himself in personalized anecdotes, was immensely helpful in getting us to cope with infidelity within our relationship. He provides a safe, comfortable and secure setting with an understated level of sensitivity. A sounding board for the pained victim and a no nonsense accounting for the miscreant. Tough questions are asked and genuine answers expected. A few words of caution though, he is not a miracle worker, you have to do the work and I mean concertedly, if both parties are not desiring reparation, he can't fix you.

Saw for 1-on-1 therapy. Ephraim’s office became a safe space. No matter my mood, he showed up with genuine warmth, consistently, over three years. That consistency changed me. Our sessions were where I got to beat my own drum, as loudly or as softly, as steadily or erratically as I liked, to discover my own heart’s truth. His contributions were often insightful but always measured - never once did I feel like he was trying to rush a solution or position himself at the center of my journey (there really wasn’t a trace of ego). This patient-directed style of therapy served me well, and by design, I think, to avoid recreating my pattern of paternal dependency. Ephraim seemed attuned to things like that, to the big-picture. Experienced, wise, polished, consistent, and relatable - highly recommended.

Dr Frankel is a very insightful patient therapist I would recommend fully. He approaches sessions thoughtfully and cares - he is "the best"

Dr. Frankel is exceptional. He helped me when my marriage was failing many years ago. He is knowledgeable, empathetic, and compassionate. Our family has benefited from his expertise for over twenty years. I've referred him to a number of friends as well.

Dr. Frankel came to me by a much needed referral from a family member. With my first visit, he was insightful, intelligent and connected to me. Weekly, he guided me, copeing with the loss of my child. He brings genuine interest while guiding with a kind, warm loving heart. Dr. E has positive insight when dealing with this serious crisis in my life. He helped me turn my pain to constructive love which was unexpected. I would never hesitate to refer him or return if needed. He is a gift to me.

Dr. Frankel is an amazing listener and an avid observer of the energy and relational dynamics between my wife and myself. Our relationship has been wonderfully supported by his counsel and advice in our experience with him. I strongly recommend him to any couple desiring to strengthen their relationship and to navigate relational challenges.

Ephraim is a remarkably insightful, intuitive and compassionate therapist. I have had the privilege of seeing him both in couples therapy and individually and have always been impressed him his ability to delve deeply into the exploration of a wide range of challenging issues. He has an especially creative manner of asking gently probing questions which helped me see my issues in a new and bracing manner. Without a doubt he has helped me to rebound and, now, thrive after a difficult transition.

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Dr. Frankel. He's a compassionate listener and an insightful individual that provided me a space to explore how I have come to work against myself--under the guise of working for myself. I cannot recommend him enough.
