Dr. Eric Cropper, OD

I went in for a routine eye exam and then was told that I had a $45 co-pay. I later learned that this was because they coded it as medical. I was told I had a medical diagnosis but this diagnosis was never provided to me. During the exam, Dr. Cropper told me that he would “write something up for insurance to cover it“. I had no idea what that was. I was later told by the staff that my insurance company was one of the few that would not cover that charge. I’ve had retinal photos taken many times at different practices and was told that there were some spots behind my eyes but nothing to worry about. Those were always routine exams. Nothing more was found at this exam but somehow I now have a medical condition. This seems to be some type of scheme going on with the way they bill and diagnose. I will not be going back and recommend that you be careful if you decide to go there.
