Dr. Erik Ebbing, OD

Dr. Ebbing is a caring thoughtful professional. I have suffered for years with dry eyes and he has offered me great relief!! He explains how to use the products he recommends completely. I am MORE THAN SATISFIED with his care!!!

Dr. Ebbing is what an optometrist should be. He examines your eyes, records his findings and then takes the time to talk with you about what's going on. He told me that I'm at risk for glaucoma and that will be something to watch for in my future visits. I also have dry eyes, so I'm encouraged to use special eye drops and a warm compress on my eyes. Those are details that patients need to know. He answered my questions. That's the way it should be, but many doctors just don't take the time to explain things. All they do is fill out patients' charts and then set up your next appointment without telling you anything. Dr. Ebbing cares about his patients and it shows. His ability to relate to his patients is old school and just common sense. It just a shame that so many other doctors don't do that any more. My son, his grandmother, and I waited for 3hrs for him to see the doctor. Towards the end of the exam, the doctor became irrate after I asked if he would be willing to write a brief letter explaining what he'd just told me that I could give to the noncustodial parent. I'd been legally advised to request this and other physicians have mailed without issue, but this doctor refused, and not politely. When we left his office and thanked him for his time,no response. I switched doctors that day.
