Erin Schmidt, NP

I have ongoing pain in my abdomen and chest with a hard unexplained lump that moves slightly. I have anxiety due to worry/health issues. I decided to see my Oncologist Dr. of 10 years (whom I love) to rule out new tumors in my body. I went and Ms Schmidt came in to examine me. At first she seemed fine but as I went over symptoms and concerns that I hoped would help identify a possible problem she became agitated with me, discounted my concerns and began questioning me about my anxiety issue (which she triggered the moment I realized she was blowing off my surgical history) I decided to keep quiet at first when she simply looked at me and asked " So when are you going to a Psychiatrist" If you're sick and in pain the last thing you need is to be treated like you are just crazy and that is exactly what she did. She also put on my chart that I have anxiety and will go to a psychiatrist. I know I am not alone. Undiagnosed illness causes anxiety. She is NOT understanding or helpful. NONE
