Evan Lerman, LCSW

If I reviewed Evan after the first few sessions, he would’ve gotten one or two stars for some reason I came back because he seemed to know what he was doing . After a session, when he confronted me, I was very angry. I guess I needed to be confronted. It was very helpful and difficult at times.

Felt as if my problems were unsolvable met Evan Lerman at Iroquois Memorial Hospital . He changed what I thought would be a frightening experience into a resolvable problem. I cannot recommend them enough. I’ve developed skills that I’ll use for the rest of my life.

And I think of him often he helped me put things in perspective and change my life for the better. I’m glad I met him

I first met with Evan back in the late 80's; we discussed many things: family dynamics, friends, personal relationships, depression, suicidal tendancies, perceptions of control. He helped me to see things/people from more than one viewpoint, helped me understand myself, but most importantly gave me the tools to get through the tough times and curve balls life can throw at you. So much has changed in the world since then; but what he taught still resonates today. He is one of the few people that have really had a lasting and positive impact on my life.

My first encounter with Mr. Lerman came at a time when my daughter experienced a major depressive episode while away at college. He was extremely helpful in his guidance on how I could best be a support to her as well as helping her to see her situation for what it was and not all the negatives. Because of his early intervention during this time, she was able to recover and come back as a stronger, more confident young adult.
